Dr. Ranjit Singh Tambar

Former Additional Director of Communication at PAU

Dr. Tambar was honored with the Award for Excellence in Communication in recognition of his instrumental role in bringing agricultural innovations to Punjab’s farming community. Through his long-running weekly program, KhetiBani, broadcast on Doordarshan and All India Radio, he provided vital guidance to farmers and made a significant contribution to improving agricultural practices across the region.

Dr. Faqir Chand Shukla

Retired Professor of Food Technology from PAU

Dr. Faqir Chand Shukla (Honoree 2024) is widely recognized for his outstanding contributions to children’s literature and science communication. His anthology, Safalta Kadam Choomegi, received the ‘Best Book of Children’s Literature Award’ from the Punjab Languages Department for promoting scientific thinking among young readers.  His commitment to science outreach has earned him numerous accolades, including the Bal Sahitya Bharti Award, the Millennium Award, and the Punjab Rattan Award.

Dr. Kuldeep Singh Dhir

Distinguished Punjabi Scholar and Science Communicator

Dr. Kuldip Singh Dhir is renowned for uniquely integrating science and literature in Punjabi. He played a pivotal role in cultivating scientific awareness among Punjabi-speaking communities. Throughout his career, he authored approximately 70 books spanning science, literature, and religion, and also translated a science text into Punjabi. His lasting contributions continue to inspire and shape the educational landscape in India.
