Legacy Honorees
The Khush Foundation is honored to recognize individuals whose dedication and leadership have brought transformative changes in their respective fields, organizations, and communities. Through years of committed service, they have paved the way for others and left an enduring legacy that continues to shape society.

Dr. Ranjit Singh Tambar (Honoree 2025), former Additional Director of Communication at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), was honored with the Award for Excellence in Communication for his instrumental role in bringing agricultural innovations to Punjab’s farming community. Through his long-running weekly program KhetiBani on Doordarshan and All India Radio Jalandhar, he has provided vital guidance to farmers, significantly improving agricultural practices in the region.
He is a National Fellow of the Indian Society of Extension Education and an active leader in several educational and literary organizations. Dr. Tamber has played a key role in advancing agricultural journalism. His lifelong commitment to science communication continues to educate and inspire farmers and youth across Punjab.
Dr. Faqir Chand Shukla (Honoree 2024), a retired professor of Food Technology from Punjab Agricultural University, is widely recognized for his outstanding contributions to children’s literature and science communication. His acclaimed anthology, Safalta Kadam Choomegi, received the ‘Best Book of Children’s Literature Award’ from the Punjab Languages Department for promoting scientific thinking among young readers. His commitment to science outreach has earned him numerous accolades, including the Bal Sahitya Bharti Award, the Millennium Award, and the Punjab Rattan Award.


Dr. Kuldip Singh Dhir is renowned for uniquely integrating science and literature in the Punjabi language. He played a pivotal role in cultivating scientific awareness among Punjabi-speaking communities. Throughout his career, he authored approximately 70 books spanning various topics, including science, literature, and religion, and also translated a science text into Punjabi. His lasting contributions continue to inspire and shape the educational landscape in India.
